Basically the kid that died came back as the servant to seek vengeance. Smiles, everyone, smiles! Ah, the gap of generational sensibilities! One of the great pleasures of being old (I"m 48) is that you take pleasure in the notion that it is nearly impossible to explain to the young the phenomena/popularity of certain things. I, for example, a lover of camp, can understand the appeal of Ruby Keeler to the Depression era audience, but I can"t feel or know it on an intimate level. But we of a certain age have our own inexplicable things. How do you explain the cultural phenomenon that this seemingly trashy show was? How do you explain things like Tattoo, Charo, Cheryl Ladd and so on? You can"t. They exist in that personal netherworld that defines generations and defies those before and after. A world as elusive as the musical theme presented here - memorable and yet almost impossible to hum.

I guess they wanted to try something different as usual but its kinda weird making it supernatural all of a sudden when part one wasnt that at all.

I seen every episode of fantasy island. The grandpa part is real. Ricardo montalban was awesome. Sad when the midget Herve shot himself in the head. He lived in pain though, his internal organs were full size. Favorite episode was when the island owner played by Ricardo squared off against satan himself for the soul of a customer. Was epic. The love boat was a bit similar and ran against it. Ahhhh the good old days. So Hollywood"s finally managed to go all green - mostly recycling garbage. Nice trailer. I wish I could watch action movies with the same awe as when I was a teen. Sadly, my bullshit sensor has become way too sensitive the more I know and the older I get and videogames are now my preferred way of (interactive) storytelling and entertainment.
